Towards carbon neutrality

 

1. At Sekurit Partner, we believe that everyone has a role to play in reducing their carbon footprint and working towards carbon neutrality by 2050, in line with Saint-Gobain's commitments. That's why we encourage all our employees to take action on a daily basis to help minimize our impact on the environment.
2. We have a CSR strategy that we implement in all our fitting stations through our franchised contractors. We hold our contractors responsible for ensuring that our CSR strategy is applied in all our stations. In addition, we encourage our contractors to participate in local ecological initiatives to further our commitment to sustainability.
3. We believe in repairing before replacing a vehicle's windshield or glazing whenever possible. By repairing the existing glass, we can avoid the wasteful and carbon-intensive production and transportation of a new windshield. This approach is part of our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint.
4. We have an energy plan in place with the goal of equipping all our stations with low-energy LED bulbs. Currently, 57% of our stations are already equipped with these bulbs. We're also exploring all possibilities to use low-carbon energy, including working with our energy suppliers and rethinking our facilities. Our commitment to reducing our energy consumption and carbon footprint is part of our broader commitment to sustainability and creating a more responsible and eco-friendly business.
5. We're committed to raising awareness of eco-actions and encouraging our teams to pay attention to their equipment and work tools in order to reduce their carbon footprint. We believe that everyone can make a positive impact on the environment, both in their personal lives and in their workplace. 6. We've adopted a Sustainable Mobility Program aimed at encouraging our teams to transition towards sustainable mobility and to move our car fleets away from fossil fuels. The 3Rs rule: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

A simple rule applied by all Sekurit Partner teams.

At Sekurit Partner, we're committed to reducing waste and consumption by using as few resources as possible. Whenever possible, we prefer to repair a windshield rather than replace it, as long as safety is guaranteed. We also make sure to use our glue cartridges to the end, without wasting any product. Our supplier, Sekurit Service, shares our commitment to sustainability and ensures that the amount of packaging is reduced without compromising the protection of the glass during transport.

When it comes to pleasing our customers, we're also careful to offer gifts that are useful in the long term and manufactured in conditions that respect the planet. By reducing waste and consumption, we can work towards a more sustainable future and reduce our impact on the environment.

 

At Sekurit Partner, we're committed to reusing material whenever possible. We work closely with our supplier, Sekurit Service, to return a maximum of packaging elements that can be reused for future deliveries. Additionally, we're testing stronger steel transport crates with them that can be reused much longer than wooden crates.

When we change a windshield, we make every effort to reuse the existing accessories and only change them if they have broken during dismantling. By reusing materials and minimizing waste, we can work towards a more sustainable future and reduce our impact on the environment.

 

At Sekurit Partner, we're committed to recycling and being recycled. All our waste is sorted and collected in an appropriate channel, with a particular focus on replaced glazing, as glass is an infinitely recyclable material. Recycled glass can be used in the manufacture of glass or glass-wool, which are two major activities of Saint-Gobain. We also ensure that chemicals are disposed of properly and that packaging elements that cannot be reused are recycled.

Our supplier, Sekurit Service, is also increasingly using recycled protective and packaging materials. By recycling and being recycled, we can work towards a more sustainable future and reduce our impact on the environment.

For example, we test and promote the use of Bostik solvent-free, isocyanate-free glue, which is distributed by our supplier Sekurit Service. At Sekurit Partner, we're committed to providing comprehensive and regular training courses to our employees. We recruit new employees who may not have experience in car glazing replacement and train them in glazing replacement techniques, impact repair, and ADAS calibration.

The automotive industry is constantly evolving, and we recognize the importance of adapting to new techniques and technologies. That's why we provide our fitters with ongoing training in new techniques such as ADAS calibration, work on electric vehicles, and the adjustment of matrix optics. We also provide training in broader subjects such as team management, customer support, and actions to be taken to improve the fitting station's carbon footprint.
